LVMH, the world’s leading luxury group, marks the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations with a significant presence for its 5th participation at the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The Group’s expansive 600sqm booth showcases LVMH’s deep-rooted history in China and highlights its forward-looking vision for the future. Fourteen emblematic Maisons will present their most iconic products, reaffirming LVMH’s enduring commitment to the Chinese market.
LVMH has a long and distinguished history in China, being among the first luxury groups to enter the market, invest, and cultivate its presence. Hennessy’s inaugural cognac shipment to China in 1859 marked the beginning of this journey, as did the landmark openings of the first Louis Vuitton boutique in Beijing’s Palace Hotel in 1992 or the first Christian Dior boutique in a modern mall at Plaza 66 in Shanghai, without forgetting the extraordinary Fendi fashion show on the Great Wall of China in 2007.
Other Maisons quickly followed, recognizing the significant potential of the evolving Chinese market, supported by opening-up policies and favorable trade developments. This commitment is reflected in various commercial, cultural and sustainable initiatives that further enhance LVMH’s strong presence in China. Notable examples include numerous landmark events and heritage exhibitions; commitment to the preservation of orchids in Yunnan; global launches by visionary creatives; the marvelous Ao Yun vineyard; the Pudong cosmetic research center and the recently inaugurated Hennessy first Asian flagship retail store in Shanghai.
At LVMH’s opening ceremony on November 5th, esteemed executives including Laurent Boillot (Hennessy President and CEO), Jean-Christophe Babin (Bulgari CEO), Andrew Wu (LVMH Group President Greater China), and Marc-Antoine Jamet (LVMH General Secretary) will lead engaging panel discussions, celebrating the enduring Sino-French friendship. The topics will include:

Further strengthening its commitment to sustainability, LVMH is partnering with Swire Properties to accelerate the reduction of the environmental impact of its stores, offices, and F&B locations in China.
