Indeed SVP of ESG LaFawn Davis Named to Fast Company’s Annual Queer 50 List for 2023

The 4th Annual Queer 50 Awards Honor the Queer Women and Nonbinary People Transforming Business, Tech, and More

NEW YORK; June 13, 2023 – For the fourth consecutive year, LaFawn Davis has been named to Fast Company’s annual Queer 50 listfor 2023. Created in collaboration with Lesbians Who Tech & Allies, the Queer 50 list is the only ranking of its kind to feature queer women and nonbinary people who are leading across industries, including business, tech, finance, venture capital, and media, among others.

Fast Company has highlighted Davis’s accomplishments

“Since becoming the company’s first Black queer woman in the C-suite in 2021, LaFawn Davis has focused on the intersection between environmental and social justice, and the disproportionate impact of environmental racism on people already facing bias. And she’s set some ambitious goals, including helping 30 million job seekers who face some type of bias get hired by 2030. To do that, Indeed has launched products that promote equitable hiring such as Skill Connect, to help job seekers without a college degree highlight their skills, and Fair Chance Filter, which helps prospective hires with criminal records find employment.”

Now in its fourth year, the Queer 50 list showcases individuals who are innovators and trailblazers in their industry.

The main criteria that Fast Company’s editors considered for this year’s list include the size and growth prospects of each person’s business or organization, their place in the broader business and social conversation, the impact of their contributions over the past 12 months, their career trajectory and potential for growth, and their activism and advocacy for the queer community.

“Fast Company is about where business is going, not where it’s been, and our Queer 50 list is a perfect encapsulation of that guiding mission,” says Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan. “For the fourth year in a row, we are grateful to have partnered with Lesbians Who Tech & Allies to share with our audience this inspiring list of queer individuals whose hard work and vision are shaping the future of business—and by extension, a more diverse and equitable society.”

“This year’s Queer 50 leaders are making contributions and innovations from generative AI to large language models that advance climate and sustainability research, and they are shaping our world like never before,” says Leanne Pittsford, founder and CEO of Lesbians Who Tech & Allies. “I am inspired and hopeful that the future of technology and business have minds like theirs to help us navigate decisions that will impact our future.”
